Coaches’ Choice

Hi, I’m Randall, head coach and founder of Red Panda Fit.

Before I opened this studio, I spent 15 years teaching high school English and coaching various sports teams after school.  I worked with teens as their baseball, softball, and soccer coach. I have a B.A. in English from UCLA and an MA in Education from UC Berkeley.

After the pandemic, I decided to go full tilt into the world of fitness coaching and became NASM-certified. I coached in a range of big-box gyms, attended fitness conferences, completed the Spartan Trifecta, hired a bodybuilding coach for six months, and even participated in an exercise study for another six months.  I am never done learning, and I want to continue to grow as a coach for the benefit of my clients.

When I have free time, you might catch me walking our doggy, Fiona, playing recreational sports, playing an instrument, or dancing salsa and bachata.  I train so that I can be fit and enjoy all that life has to offer for as long as possible. I want the same things for my clients: to be strong and healthy so that they too, can thrive.
